Porcelain Veneers (Minimally-Invasive)

Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells that cover the front surface of teeth, designed to effectively conceal your imperfections. This cosmetic procedure requires artistry, science and technology from a skilled dental practitioner and ceramist. Given our advanced understanding of esthetics, biology, and function of the mouth, we work hard to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible and use minimally-invasive prepping techniques.
Trial Smile/Temporaries
Planning is everything in a smile makeover. Before we get started, we take necessary photographs and impressions of your mouth to evaluate each case specifically. We create a waxed model of the new smile design, in which we are then able to transfer into the mouth before we commit to the actual design. Creating this temporary “mock-up” into the mouth is a great way for our patients to test drive their new porcelain veneers before committing to living with them. In addition, you can home with them for a few days, and then simply have them removed back to normal on the following visit. Any cosmetic changes can be modified at this temporary trial smile stage, and once the patient is happy, we can create finely tuned porcelain veneers.
Our porcelain veneers are custom designed to complement the individual’s personality- from patient to patient, and smile to smile. We strive to create luminous, natural-looking porcelain veneers and realize the importance of providing lasting results, as it can be a life-changing investment for many patients. We ensure the highest level of quality, convenience, and satisfaction from start to finish.
Veneers are routinely used to fix:
- Teeth that are worn down
- Teeth that are chipped or broken
- Teeth that are misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped (for example, have craters or bulges in them)
- Teeth with gaps between them (to close the space between these teeth)
- Teeth that are discolored — either because of root canal treatment; stains from tetracycline or other drugs, excessive fluoride or other causes; or the presence of large resin fillings that have discolored the tooth
Veneers offer the following advantages:
- They provide a natural tooth appearance.
- Gum tissue tolerates porcelain well.
- Porcelain veneers are stain resistant.
- The color of a porcelain veneer can be selected such that it makes dark teeth appear whiter.
- Veneers offer a conservative approach to changing a tooth’s color and shape — veneers generally don’t require the extensive shaping prior to the procedure that crowns do, yet offer a stronger, more aesthetic alternative.
